Melanie B. Scott

Melanie B. Scott is an experienced nonprofit leader currently serving as Chief Development Officer at STARS since January 2025. Prior to this role, Melanie held the same title at Nurture The Next from August 2019 to January 2025 and directed development efforts at Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee from June 2016 to June 2020, where responsibilities included fundraising and community promotion. Melanie's early career included roles at STARS starting in 2001, progressing from Program Director, overseeing educational initiatives, to Director of New Initiatives, engaging with funders across multiple counties. Educationally, Melanie obtained a BA in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
