Samrat Upadhyay

Samrat Upadhyay is an experienced power plant professional with a background in operation, maintenance coordination, and troubleshooting within the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Manager at STEAG Energy Services (India) Pvt. Ltd since December 2024, Samrat previously worked at CLP India Pvt. Ltd. as Deputy Manager, overseeing the desk operation of a 2 x 660 MW supercritical power plant. With earlier roles including Deputy Manager-Production and Assistant Manager at Hindalco Industries Limited and Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited, respectively, Samrat has honed expertise in boiler and turbine operations across various plants. A graduate of Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PGDC in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from the National Power Training Institute, Samrat's career began as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Phillips Carbon Black Limited.
