Brian Murray

Brian Murray is an experienced leader in product safety and cybersecurity, currently serving as the Director of Product Safety and Cybersecurity at STEER since February 2024. Prior roles include Senior Director of System Safety and Cybersecurity at Luminar Technologies, where responsibilities encompassed cybersecurity and product safety strategies, and Director of Safety and Security Excellence at ZF Group, overseeing systems safety management and product cybersecurity on a global scale. Brian's career also includes significant positions at United Technologies Research Center and Delphi, focusing on embedded systems, active safety technologies, and the development of safety standards in the automotive industry. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, and an AB in Physics and Mathematics from Albion College.
