Deon Louw

Deon Louw is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in infrastructure and electrical engineering management. Currently serving as Project Manager & OHSA GMR2(1) Competent Person at Stellenbosch Municipality since May 2017, Deon focuses on alternative electricity generation initiatives to mitigate the effects of loadshedding. In a previous role as Director of Infrastructure Services at the same municipality, Deon oversaw essential engineering services including electricity, water, and road management. Prior experience includes tenure as Executive Manager of Infrastructure Services at Drakenstein Municipality, Deputy Director of Electrical Services at Overstrand Municipality, and Managing Director at Dunatos Energy Services.
