Kyle Longest currently serves as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and as a Professor of Sociology at Stetson University since July 2024. Prior to this role, Kyle Longest was affiliated with Furman University from August 2009 to July 2024, where responsibilities included serving as Interim University Registrar, Associate Academic Dean, Department Chair, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology. Additionally, in 2015, Kyle Longest was an International Scholar at the Technical University of Munich. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master's Degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and History from Indiana University Bloomington.
