Steve Alexander

Steven Alexander is a Managing Director and Partner in the PFM Group's Orlando office with 30 years of investment and financial-management experience. He is responsible for the administration of PFM Asset Management LLC investment advisory and treasury management services in the south of the country and provides investment advisory services to a variety of local governments and not-for-profit organizations. He also provides specialized investment, cash management, arbitrage rebate and OPEB and pension consulting services to public-sector clients across the country. Steve provides investment training across the nation and holds five investment-training seminars each year, allowing over 300 finance officials to satisfy their state's continuing-education requirement. He authored Florida's Investment Policy Statute and provided technical support for the development of the Florida Statutes that govern local-retirement-system investment policies and plans.

Prior to joining PFM, Steve served for eight years as the Investment Officer and Treasury Manager for Orange County, Florida. He was responsible for management of the County's cash and investment portfolio, as well as all banking and debt administration functions. He began his career as a Financial Examiner/Analyst for the Division of Securities in the Florida Comptroller's Office, investigating securities and investment fraud.

Steve is a member of the International Business Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma, holds the designations of Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) and Certified Public Pension Trustee (CPPT), and is a member of numerous state and national associations. He is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA") registered representative and holds Series 6 and 63 licenses. He is also a member of the Florida Hospital Foundation Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) Board and the Central Florida Coalition for the Homeless Board.

Steve has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Stetson University and holds a degree in Accounting. He served on Stetson's Business Board of Advisors for two years before being elected to the Board of Trustees in 2012.
