Joel Amundson

Joel Amundson is currently serving as an Avionics Senior Mechanical Engineer at Stoke Space since September 2024. Previously, Joel held the position of Principal Mechanical Engineer at First Mode from May 2021 to September 2024, where responsibilities included leading the hydrogen transfer team for mining truck refueling hardware and overseeing vehicle research and development projects. Prior experience includes roles at BLUE ORIGIN, where Joel contributed as a Propulsion Engineer and Avionics Engineer for the BE-4 LNG engine, and leadership positions at Cascade Engine Center and Zonar Systems. Joel's career began at Kenworth Truck Company, involving comprehensive vehicle design and race support. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Vehicle Design from Western Washington University.
