Cindy Yu is the managing director at StoneTurn. Cindy has over eight years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, and litigation consulting. Prior to joining StoneTurn, Cindy was a director at Alvarez and Marsal, where they focused on civil securities cases, class action lawsuits, derivative actions, and investigations of potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Cindy has worked with clients across numerous industries, including mortgage banks, insurance firms, accounting and technology companies, telecommunication and leasing companies, energy and consumer product companies, retail and food companies, agricultural companies, non-profit organizations, construction companies, and manufacturing companies.
Cindy has led numerous engagements involving allegations of improper financial accounting, reconstruction of financial transactions, embezzlement, and the application of GAAP and GAAS in financial statement audits. In addition, they have directed projects involving measurement of damages in intellectual property litigation, lost profit analysis, reasonable royalty determination, purchase price dispute, asset tracing, business interruption claims, asset misappropriation investigations, fraudulent conveyances, and other accounting and financial analyses.
Cindy Yu has a BA in Economics from University of California, Berkeley. Cindy is certified as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the California Board of Accountancy, and a Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
