Maija Aho

Maija Aho is a seasoned professional in sustainability and circular economy, currently serving as the Director of Sustainability, Head of Circularity and Nature, at Stora Enso since January 2022. Previously, Maija held the position of Global Sustainability Senior Manager at Huhtamaki, where focus was on developing long-term sustainability strategies. With a solid foundation in project and process management, Maija has experience as Business Manager and Senior Consultant at Gaia Consulting Oy, specializing in resource efficiency and industrial symbiosis. Earlier roles include Industry Analyst and Research Engineer at Nalco, where expertise in air protection technologies and the pulp and paper industry was gained. Maija's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Chemistry of Forest Products Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu.
