Neranga Jayaweera

Neranga Jayaweera is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in finance, strategy, and communication. Currently serving as a Systems Accountant for New Zealand Defence Force and a Founder and Strategist for Jayaweera Group, Neranga oversees operations at Fortress de Jayaweera, a historic family villa in Sri Lanka. With a background in fitness instruction and finance administration at Massey University, alongside roles such as Interpreter for Straker, Neranga possesses strong skills in communication and translation between English and Sinhala. Previous positions include Senior Residential Assistant and Research Assistant at University of Canterbury, where leadership and community engagement were key responsibilities. Education includes a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting, a Postgraduate Certificate in Intercultural Communication & Applied Translation, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship from University of Canterbury.
