Dean Miller

Dean Miller is a software engineer at Strymon, a company that makes high-end musical equipment. Dean previously worked as an embedded engineer at Adafruit Industries, where they designed, implemented, and documented embedded software and hardware products targeted at the Maker and Educational community. Dean's responsibilities included software development (mainly C/C++), PCB design in EAGLE CAD, prototyping, board bring-up and debugging, test procedure design, and documentation.

Dean has experience with parts from major vendors such as Microchip/Atmel, Nordic, NXP, Panasonic, etc. as well as many smaller overseas vendors who manufacture LEDs, various displays, cameras, and various other modules. Dean has everyday experience with I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, SWD, JTAG, various single wire protocls, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, SMD rework, IDE and makefile build systems, GNU toolchain, embedded Linux, device datasheets.

Dean Miller has a certificate in embedded and real-time systems programming from the University of Washington, a bachelor's degree in psychology from Purchase College, SUNY, and a music production and engineering degree from Berklee College of Music.
