Herwig Langanger studied business administration at the Karl Franzens University in Graz. In 2004 he began his professional career at Styria Media Group AG as assistant to the management and IT controller at Styria Group IT. As Head of Controlling, Herwig Langanger moved to "Die Presse" in 2005, becoming an authorised signatory in 2008 and finally part of the management in 2010. He has been chairman of the "Presse" management board since 2014. In September 2022, Herwig Langanger was appointed to the Executive Board of Styria Media Group AG. His focus is on the entire value chain of Austrian media: He is responsible for the media brands "Die Presse" and "DIE FURCHE" as well as the book publishers, STYRIA Sport and the Content Performance Group COPE. Langanger is also responsible for the service partners Druck Styria and Druck Carinthia as well as Styria Media Design, Styria Marketing Services, Call & Mail, >redmail, connect724 and Styria Digital Services.
