Matt Thompson

Matt Thompson has extensive experience in the IT and cyber security fields, currently serving as the IT Cyber Security and Compliance Director at Subsea7 since May 2021, where responsibilities include developing a Cyber Centre of Excellence for global operations. Prior to this, Matt held various roles at Brightsolid, including Information Security Manager, Security Architect, and Head of Network Operations, focusing on security governance, risk management, and the implementation of information security strategies. Earlier career experiences include IT consulting, system engineering, and support roles at organizations such as Metropolitan - Angus College Business Services, Cybertech Computers Limited, and Fujitsu Services. Matt holds an HNC in Business Information Systems from Angus College and has accumulated over 20 years of experience in IT and security.
