Matthias Scharfe

Matthias Scharfe is a skilled professional with extensive experience in product management and engineering. Currently serving as Product Manager for Digital Products and Humidity & Temperature Sensors at Sensirion since May 2020, Matthias has a strong background in chemical engineering, having completed a doctoral candidacy at ETH Zürich focused on catalytic processes for intensified vinyl chloride production from October 2015 to December 2019. Previous roles include an internship at Bertin Energie Environnement and a working student position at IBM Research Zurich, where Matthias contributed to multi-phase modeling of heat and mass transfer in membrane distillation. Matthias holds a Doctor of Science in Chemical Engineering, a Master of Science in Process Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, all from ETH Zürich, alongside foundational education from Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and Anne-Frank-Gymnasium Erding.
