Anna Foat

Anna Foat is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic design, education, and digital transformation. Currently serving as the Strategic Global XD Education lead at Sun Life since September 2017, Anna has championed design-led methodologies and facilitated workshops for leaders and teams. Previous roles include Director of the Global Digital Transformation Office at Western University, where Anna taught design thinking, and Executive in Residence at Communitech, supporting the tech cluster in Waterloo Region. Anna's background in education and innovation spans various industries, including banking and automotive, as demonstrated through leadership roles at Future Design School and their consulting work at Big Dog Sales Consulting. Anna's early career at IBM and Research In Motion involved managing product content and global alliances, contributing significantly to those organizations' market positions. Anna holds a BA in English from the University of Waterloo and certifications in design thinking and strategic sales.
