John McDonough

John McDonough is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and medical technology sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Chairperson of the Board at Sunbird Bio, McDonough focuses on advancing medical diagnostics to enhance patient care. In addition, McDonough is the Chair of the Board of Directors for both Cytrellis Biosystems and BioPorto Diagnostics, and is the Founder and President of the Crush Colon Cancer Foundation, which supports colon cancer research. Previous leadership roles include founding CEO at T2 Biosystems and president at Cytyc Corporation, where significant growth and successful acquisitions were achieved. McDonough's early career includes key positions in companies like SoundBite Communications and Direct Hit Technologies, demonstrating a consistent track record of driving innovation and organizational growth.
