Peter Archbold

Peter Archbold, CFA, currently serves as Senior Director of the Global Cross Sector Team - Structured Finance at Fitch Ratings since October 2023. Simultaneously, Peter holds the position of Managing Director and Global Head of ESG Ratings, along with the role of Head of ESG Analytics at Sustainable Fitch since March 2020. Peter's previous experience includes various leadership roles at Fitch Ratings from May 2006 to March 2020, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing Natural Resources and Commodities and Basic Materials in the Europe Middle East & Africa region, as well as managing Metals & Mining. Prior to this, Peter worked as Credit Director at nab capital from January 2005 to May 2006 and held positions at NAB from January 2000 to December 2004. Peter is a CFA Charterholder with additional credentials in sustainable finance and ESG investing from reputable institutions. Educational qualifications include a degree in Commerce from La Trobe University, a Fellow designation from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and specialized training in sustainable finance and ESG.
