Gus Shahin

Gus Shahin is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) & SVP, Information Technology/Systems (IT/IS) at Flextronics. Gus has over nine years of experience in providing CIO strategic leadership for global business operations and IT/IS functions. Gus is responsible for enterprise innovation, program execution, business enablement, and solutions development. Gus has a proven track record in designing and delivering new IT/IS solutions and integrated applications.

Gus Shahin attended Western University, where they earned their Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering. While at Western University, Shahin worked on a number of research projects, including an experimental study of pulsating flow with forced convective heat transfer and a CFD analysis of heat transfer enhancement generated by the chimney effect in systems of vertical channels. Gus also worked as a Graduate Teaching Associate, teaching courses such as dynamics, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and turbo machinery. Shahin was the recipient of the Special University Scholarship in 1996 and was nominated for the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1995-1996 and 1996-1997.
