David Lu

David Lu is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for Asia at Swiss Re since January 2013, David Lu previously held positions as Deputy Regional Chief Medical Officer and Assistant General Manager at Bupa Asia Limited, where responsibilities included medical and underwriting. Earlier roles include research associate at The University of Hong Kong, where David Lu conducted spinal surgery research and won the 5th Annual SPINE Journal Young Investigator Research Award in 2003, as well as being a visiting scholar and PhD candidate at Hokkaido University, focusing on minimally invasive surgery. David Lu holds a Ph.D. in Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Hokkaido University, along with an M.B.B.S. from Peking University.
