Eric Shamlin

Eric Shamlin serves as the Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships in Entertainment and Emerging Tech at Monks since March 2018, holding previous titles including EVP Global Head of Entertainment and SVP Growth. Shamlin is also a distinguished member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, contributing as Governor of the Emerging Media Programming Peer Group and participating in various committees. In addition, Shamlin is a board member of the Producers Guild of America and has chaired the PGA Innovation Award for three consecutive years. As a founding partner of the Sandbox Immersive Festival, Shamlin focuses on advancing immersive entertainment in China. Furthermore, Shamlin provides mentorship for startups in emerging tech and guest lectures on the subject at multiple universities, including Loyola Marymount University, UCLA, and USC. Education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the Academy of Art University.
