Emily Boothroyd

Emily Boothroyd is a skilled professional in sustainability and carbon dioxide removal, currently serving as a Life Cycle Assessment Senior Associate at Sylvera since October 2023. Emily's expertise includes the measurement of project quality in various engineered carbon dioxide removal (CDR) types such as biochar, bio-oil, DACS, and Bio-CCS. Previously, at Altruistiq from September 2021 to October 2023, Emily led the development of land-based emissions accounting methodology and contributed to the creation of a greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting methodology and emission factor database in alignment with GHG Protocol and ISO guidelines. Emily's early career includes an internship at Conservation Volunteers New Zealand, and educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, a Master’s in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, a certificate in Life Cycle Assessment from UCL, and ongoing training in Python and Apps through Code First Girls.
