Sundar S is an accomplished professional in the field of plant breeding and genetics, currently serving as the Head of Corn Seeds R&D at Syngenta, where responsibilities include overseeing the comprehensive delivery of Corn seeds and supporting market leadership through innovative seed products in India and the Asia Pacific region. Sundar S has held several leadership roles at Syngenta, including Head Germplasm Development for Corn and Rice, Head Rice Seeds Development for Asia Pacific, and Head of Field Crops Breeding for South Asia, focusing on improving germplasm performance across various field crops. Prior to Syngenta, Sundar S worked as a Breeder at Parry Monsanto and conducted research as a Research Associate at the Central Institute of Cotton Research. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics, along with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Agriculture, all from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Annamalai University.
