Gerdus Visagie

Gerdus Visagie is a professional engineer with a strong background in automation and supply chain strategy. Currently serving as the Head of SC Strategy and Automation at takealot.com since March 2019, Gerdus has previously held the role of Automation Engineer at the same company. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Automation Engineer at Iritron and a Senior Project Engineer at Rockwell Automation from February 2010 to June 2018, following an engineering role at HIPROM, which was acquired by Rockwell Automation in April 2011. Gerdus holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechatronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University, completed between 2004 and 2009, and has an educational background from Paarl Boys' High.
