Andy Plump

Andy Plump serves as the President of Research & Development and Chief Medical & Scientific Officer at Takeda, having previously held the role of Chief Medical & Scientific Officer Designate. Prior to joining Takeda, Andy Plump was the Deputy of Research and Translational Medicine at Sanofi and led CV Disease Worldwide Discovery at Merck. Andy Plump holds an MD in Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco, and a PhD in Biology from The Rockefeller University, with education taking place between 1987 and 1995 for the MD and 1989 to 1993 for the PhD.
