Gunter Baumgartner

Gunter Baumgartner is a seasoned professional in global engineering and operational management, currently serving as SVP and Head of Global Engineering at Takeda since January 2019, where responsibilities include leading a multinational team and overseeing CAPEX processes for over 30 manufacturing sites. Gunter has held various leadership roles within Takeda and its predecessor, Nycomed, demonstrating extensive experience in CAPEX projects, organizational development, and engineering standards across global operations. Gunter's educational background includes degrees in Verfahrenstechnik and Umwelttechnik from Technische Universität Graz, complemented by studies at Henley Business School and the University of St.Gallen.
