Rizhna Khorshid

Rizhna Khorshid is an experienced professional in the field of international protection and community engagement, currently serving as a Team Leader and Service Counselor at the City of Tampere since January 2021. Previously, Khorshid worked with UNHCR as a Protection Associate from April 2015 to November 2020, focusing on the protection of vulnerable populations in Iraq through various initiatives, such as protection monitoring and child protection. Prior roles include serving as a Protection Officer for the International Rescue Committee and interpreting for Kotka’s Center for Interpreters. Khorshid holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in International Politics from the University of Tampere, along with relevant training in protection principles and child protection case management.
