Ellen Guss is a Scientific Programs Coordinator at Target ALS, beginning in April 2023. Previously, Ellen served as a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from August 2018 to April 2023, focusing on motor neuron development in the Littleton Lab and engaging with graduate students as a member of the Biology Graduate Student Council. Prior to that, Ellen worked as a Research Assistant and Lab Manager at Harvard University in the Eggan Laboratory, managing significant research projects and communicating with the Simons Foundation. Ellen gained early experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Senior Research Technician, specializing in the production of clinical-grade neuronal precursor cells. Ellen also held a supervisory role at MedLabs Diagnostics, where responsibilities included performing various diagnostic tests and supporting laboratory inspections. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biology from MIT and a BA in Neuroscience from Colgate University.
