Chris Whitley

Chris Whitley is a seasoned journalism professional with extensive experience in education and media. Currently serving as the Director of Student Publications and Journalism Instructor/Adviser at Tarrant County College since August 2008, Chris also held the position of President at the College Media Association from December 2020 to November 2023. Previous roles include Freelance Feature Writer for The Dallas Morning News, Assistant Director of Student Publications at the University of Texas at Arlington, Interactive Producer at NBC, Reporter at The Vindicator Printing Company, and Correspondent for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Chris holds a Master's degree in Journalism from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University.
