Shilpa Rao

Shilpa Rao is a seasoned professional with extensive experience at Tata Consultancy Services since 2005, currently serving as Director of Purpose Institute and Head of AI Powered Products & Platforms for Optumera. Shilpa's expertise encompasses driving purpose-led transformations, developing strategic solutions for retail merchandising and supply chain challenges using AI, and fostering innovation in big data analytics and product development. Notable accomplishments include co-developing a patented optimization algorithm that significantly increased sales for leading retailers. Additionally, Shilpa leads the Women In Data chapter, advocating for diversity in data careers and has received recognition as the winner of Sunova BioSlim at Haut Monde Mrs. India Worldwide 2019. Shilpa holds an Executive Leadership degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA in Marketing from ICFAI Business School, and a B.E. in IT from the University of Mumbai.
