Cynthia Appenteng

Cynthia Appenteng currently serves as the Senior Director of Development & Fundraising for Africa at Teach For All, a position held since February 2024. Prior experience includes roles as an Independent Consultant from February 2016 to March 2024 and as the Director of Partnerships and Resource Mobilization at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development from October 2022 to November 2023. Cynthia also worked with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation between 2020 and 2022, and served as a Senior Advisor at the UK Home Office from December 2008 to March 2016. Earlier career positions include Deputy Head of Human Factors at the Ministry of Defense (UK) and Junior Psychologist at Defense Science and Technologies Laboratories. Cynthia holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Psychology from the British Psychological Society, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Plymouth.
