Clarence M. Dortch

Clarence M. Dortch, M.Ed., possesses extensive experience in education and leadership development, currently serving as the Managing Director of Leadership Development at Teach For America since February 2021. Prior roles at Teach For America included being a Regional Leadership Team Member, Director of Systems Change, and Manager of Teacher Leadership Development. Clarence's background encompasses teaching in the Clark County School District and serving as a Corps Member with Teach For America. Prior to these educational roles, Clarence held positions such as Correctional Officer for the Nevada Department of Corrections, Juvenile Justice Specialist with the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice, Human Rights Investigator for the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and Assistant Manager at Finish Line Shoes. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from Howard University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
