Ted Knapp is the former Goldman Family Director of Men’s Swimming at Stanford University. In his 34 seasons with the Stanford Men’s Swimming program, Knapp played an influential role at The Farm, capturing seven NCAA championships and a conference title for 30 of the 34 season’s he served as an assistant, associate head coach and now head coach with the program. Knapp trained 10 individual swimmers who set 20 world records and 19 Olympians representing eight countries at the Summer Games. In his first three seasons as Head Coach, the Cardinal finished in the top-10 at the NCAA Championships for the 35th consecutive year. Coach Knapp served as the men’s manager to the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team.
