Janelle Tavares

Janelle Tavares is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in cloud, DevOps, and back-end engineering. Currently working at Team Rockstars IT since March 2024, Janelle is focused on transitioning Essent's IT infrastructure to serverless cloud services. Previously, as a Senior Back End Engineer at Meroxa, Janelle led projects involving stateful stream processing, connector development, and network isolation using AWS CloudFormation, while also implementing solutions in multiple programming languages. Janelle's career began at Oracle and Sun Microsystems as a Firmware Engineer, followed by various roles at Acquia, including Software Architect and Tech Lead, where contributions included the development of distributed solutions for Drupal web applications. Janelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
