Gonzalo Alcaraz

Gonzalo Alcaraz is the Deputy Director General at the International Road Federation (IRF) since August 2018, overseeing initiatives aimed at enhancing road safety and sustainability. Previously, Gonzalo served as Senior Manager for Membership and Innovation, as well as Lead for the Young Professionals Programme at IRF. Currently, Gonzalo also holds the position of Managing Director at Techstars and has been involved in multiple mentoring roles for various accelerator programs. Prior experience includes significant roles in innovation and strategic initiatives at Bestmile and project management at SWARCO, complemented by engineering experience at ISMB and an internship at Centro Ricerche Fiat. Academically, Gonzalo has advanced degrees in Telecommunications Engineering, Business Administration, and specialized training in wireless systems and software product management.
