Joanne Angai is an Environmental Scientist at Teck Resources Limited since October 2020, focusing on environmental remediation projects. Prior to this role, Joanne served as an MSc Candidate and Researcher at the University of Waterloo from September 2017 to August 2020, leading a project on in-situ passive remediation technologies for acidic, arsenic-contaminated groundwater at the Long Lake Gold Mine. Joanne also held the position of Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting students in earth sciences through laboratory sessions. Earlier experience includes a role as a Bedrock Mapping Assistant with Natural Resources Canada and as a Mining Education & Tour Guide at the Britannia Mine Museum. Joanne holds a Master of Science in Geochemistry from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Alberta.
