Birgitte Jordahl

Birgitte Jordahl is an experienced professional currently serving as a Seniorrådgiver and acting director of the societal policy section at Tekna since November 2016. Prior to this role, Birgitte held the position of State Secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research from October 2013 to August 2016, overseeing responsibilities related to kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, independent schools, adult education, and special education. Birgitte's career also includes serving as a political adviser and chief of staff at the Office of the Governing Mayor from October 2011 to October 2013, where guidance was provided to mayors in political matters. Additionally, a political adviser role was held at the Department of Primary Health and Care in the City of Oslo from January 2010 to October 2011, focusing on district concerns and various underlying agencies. Birgitte's background includes serving as a political adviser in the Norwegian Parliament from January 2006 to January 2010, with emphasis on family, media, and cultural policies. Birgitte holds both a Master's degree in Pedagogy and a law degree from the University of Oslo.
