Ibrahim Gedeon is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as CTO Emeritus at TELUS since October 2003, Ibrahim previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at the same company. Prior to TELUS, Ibrahim was with Nortel Networks as VP of Wireless Network Engineering and VP of Data Network Engineering from January 1994 to 2003. Earlier career roles include Member of Scientific Staff at Bell Northern Research from January 1990 to January 1994 and IC Design Engineer at Mitel in 1989-1990. Ibrahim holds a Doctor of Laws (D.Sc.) h.c. from The University of British Columbia, an MSc in Electronics Engineering from Carleton University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
