Daniel Tay

Daniel Tay is an accomplished professional currently serving as Vice President of Emerging Technologies at Temasek since August 2023. Their previous role as Director of Innovation & Enterprise at A*STAR involved building ventures that leverage intellectual property to develop globally investable start-ups. Prior to that, Daniel was an Assistant Vice President at Temasek, focusing on early-stage deep tech start-ups in climate tech and energy transition. Daniel has a strong background in industry development, having held roles at A*STAR where responsibilities included leading initiatives in the food sector and overseeing strategic planning for the Singapore Institute of Food and Biotechnology Innovation. Daniel's research experience as a Project Leader at the Singapore Bioimaging Consortium involved leading a team in the development of new chemical catalysts. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, an MBA, and a BASc in Applied Chemistry.
