Yukio graduated from Kyoto University, Faculty of Law, and joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) in 1973. After working for the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), he served as Counsellor for Commerce and Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Canada before becoming Director General of JETRO San Francisco in 1979. In 2002, he joined Kyocera Corporation, where he was in charge of venture company investment, M&A, etc. He analyzed business plans, income and expenditure forecasts, etc. for new projects, evaluated top management’s ability to handle business, etc. for investment decisions, and participated in the creation of corporate governance and compliance organizations and systems for the group to comply with the SOX Act. In 2007, he became independent and established Task Yoda. In 2011, he became an advisor and executive officer of SOLE Corporation.
