Marissa Burger

Marissa Burger is an experienced grants specialist currently employed at TFG since October 2024, and has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Exceptional Ventures Consulting since July 2010. Prior to these roles, Marissa held key positions at Grantwriters.net, The Grant Geek, from January 2006 to July 2023, including Chief Operations Officer and Quality Control Manager, where responsibilities included developing and reviewing grant proposals for various entities. Earlier experience includes a grant writer position with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe from November 2009 to July 2010, where significant funding was secured for health and community programs. Marissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Broadcast Television from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Tarleton State University.
