Prof. Eva Semotanová studied history and archiving at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. It deals with historical geography, historical landscape, historical cartography and the history of cartography. He applies a number of interdisciplinary methods, promotes the use of reconstruction maps and satin cartography in historical work. The main thematic areas of research include the urban landscape and its development; in the study of urbanization processes, he focuses, among other things, on the development of the Prague agglomeration from the end of the 18th century, with an emphasis on the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. In connection with this issue, it also addresses the issues of industrial landscape changes as a cultural heritage. E.
