Ross Cooper is an accomplished educator and leader in the field of biology and science education. As the Founder of Bloom Science Tuition since January 2024 and Subject Leader for Biology at Alec Reed Academy since April 2020, Ross leads and coordinates all aspects of biology within the science department, focusing on high-quality teaching and learning. Previous roles include Project Leader at The Huracan Foundation and Founder of Huracán Northala, as well as a Teacher of Science at Hammersmith Academy Trust, where responsibilities included staff retention and well-being initiatives. Before that, Ross served as a University Recruiter for Teach First, targeting diverse talent for a leadership development program, and as a Science Teacher at Barnhill Community High School, delivering a wide range of science qualifications. Initial coaching experience as a Level 2 Gymnastics Coach was gained at the Heathrow School of Gymnastics & Dance. Ross holds a PGCE in School Based Initial Teacher Education in Science from King's College London and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Brunel University London.
