Ekaterina Dimitrova

Ekaterina Dimitrova is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at DataStax since October 2019 and serves as an Apache Cassandra Committer for The Apache Software Foundation since December 2020. Dimitrova has held roles in academia, including researcher and instructor at the University of Pittsburgh, where teaching responsibilities included courses in database management systems and cyber ethics. Prior experience includes leadership positions in client capability at DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and HP, overseeing service deliverables in UNIX/LINUX and iSeries environments. Dimitrova's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s degree in Distributed Systems and Mobile Technologies from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
