Melissa Laverdure

Melissa Laverdure is a freelance visual researcher based on the east coast of Canada, currently self-employed with The Archival Agent since November 2021. With extensive experience in permissions, clearances, acquisitions, and visual research, Melissa has worked with various organizations, including Great Pacific Media as an Archive/Visual Researcher for the series *Deadman's Curse*, and served as Archive Producer for *Citizen Minutes 2* at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. Additional roles include Archive Researcher for the documentary series *Women Who Rock* at Network Entertainment and Supervising Producer for the 2022 Canadian Screen Awards at the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Melissa's educational background includes a degree in Library and Information Science from Nova Scotia Community College and a prior degree from Carleton University.
