Dorianis Mercedes Pérez

Dorianis Mercedes Pérez, Ph.D., currently serves as a Project Assistant at The Aspen Institute, where responsibilities include administrative, fundraising, and program support, particularly for the Our Future is Science Mentorship and Ambassador Programs. In parallel, Dorianis works as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on cloud microphysics in pyrocumulonimbus clouds through code development and simulations. Dorianis also holds a position as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at Northern New Mexico College. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Florida State University, specializing in wildland fire dynamics and computational fluid dynamics, as well as serving as a Graduate Assistant at Mercyhurst University.
