James Roberts

James Roberts is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across Asia-Pacific (APAC) in the private equity and financial services sectors. Currently serving as Director, APAC at The Barton Partnership since June 2019, James leads the APAC business, focusing on executive search and independent consulting in various areas including strategy, private equity, and ESG & sustainability. Prior to this, James was Director - Global Investment Banking, APAC at Pemberton Stewart International, where responsibilities included originating and executing senior mandates and establishing a middle office team. James began a career in recruitment as Team Lead at Randstad Singapore, earning recognition as top billing consultant before earlier roles in sales at smg. Educated at the University of Sydney, James possesses a strong foundation in both consulting and financial services.
