Phil Dowson

Phil Dowson is the current Chair at The Brendoncare Foundation. Prior to this, they served as the Chairman at the Royal Docks Management Authority Limited from July 2010 to January 2019. Phil was also a member of the ExCeL London Executive Team from February 2005 to April 2019, where they held the position of CFO. From September 1996 to April 2000, Phil Dowson was the Group Operations Controller and Head of Group Operational Control at Bupa. Phil was also the International Financial Controller there. Prior to Bupa, Phil Dowson served as the Treasurer for the V&A Friends from October 2012 to June 2018. Phil began their career at Motorola in September 1990, where they held various positions including Financial Controller, Corporate Venturing Manager, Mobile Networks Manager, EMEA Finance Management, and Tax and Treasury Analyst for Mobile Handsets, EMEA.

Phil Dowson studied engineering science at Emmanuel College, Cambridge before completing their Master of Arts at the same institution. Phil then went on to study at Hitchin Boys School.
