Sean Thomas Eagan

Policy Counsel, Family Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Sean (he/him/his) received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was a Sinsheimer Service Scholar through the Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest program. During law school, Sean served as a Pro Bono Scholar at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem in the Family Defense unit. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Martin Guggenheim and participated in the NYU Family Defense and Litigation, Organizing, and Systemic Change clinics. During his summers, Sean interned with the Bronx Defenders Civil Action and Family Defense Practices and in the NYLAG Consumer Protection Unit. Prior to joining the Bronx Defenders, he worked for the Center for Family Representation Family Defense Team in Queens, New York. Prior to law school, he served young people as a City Year Americorps member and then as a wrap care coordinator at Charles Hart Middle School in Washington, D.C. Sean graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's in Economics and Political Science.
