Richard M. is currently a Pupil Advocate at the Cape Bar, having commenced pupilage in January 2024 with aspirations to become a full member in 2025. Previous experience includes roles as an Attorney and Professional Assistant at Mathiso Attorneys Incorporated from August to December 2023, and as a Candidate Attorney at both Mathiso Attorneys Incorporated and Velile Tinto Cape Incorporated between 2020 and 2023. Richard M. has also held positions at the University of Cape Town Underwater Club as Gear Manager, at the Legal Resources Centre as an Intern, and has served in leadership roles such as Branch Director at The Chamber of Legal Students and Chairman of the University of Cape Town Archery Society. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights Law, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in IsiXhosa, Philosophy, and History, all obtained from the University of Cape Town.
