Janelle Treibitz

Janelle Treibitz is an experienced narrative strategy consultant with a focus on cultural power and immigrant narratives. Currently serving as a Narrative Strategy Consultant at The Center for Cultural Power since May 2021, Janelle previously worked at Race Forward from January 2020 to February 2023 as both a Narrative Strategy Consultant and Research Lead for the Butterfly Lab for Immigrant Narrative Strategy. Other roles include Partnerships Strategist at Culture Surge, Creative Engagement Coordinator and Creative Strategies Associate at The Opportunity Agenda, and co-founder and Strategy Co-Lead at Puppet Underground. Janelle gained experience in the arts as a puppeteer with Bread and Puppet Theater and participated in various campaigns as a campaign organizer with organizations like Fair Budget Coalition and Save Our Safety Net DC. Janelle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from New York University.
